Ron Clappison


Helping people get into a home they love for the right price is what long-time Realtor Ron Clappison enjoys most about working in the real estate business. "I love helping people move up in life; providing sound advice to help them buy something they want or stage their home so they can get the price they're looking for." says the real estate agent, whose first venture into real estate began in the late 1970s before he branched out with a business partnership in a different industry.

But Ron never strayed far from real estate. He purchased severeal rental properties and helped friends and family buy and sell properties over the years. After selling his interest in the business in the 1990s, Ron realized that he missed working in real estate and returned to the industry he loves.

Since his first dealings in the real estate, Ron says, "Just about everything has changes. Technology has dramatically changed how things are done and has educated the consumer. Before, I would select and preview three or four houses for my client and my client would choose one." Today, he says, buyers have access to hundreds of available properties online and do research on Internet, "so it's really important to have good, user-friendly websites."

Ron operates a website where clients can find information from listings and community information to Google Maps showing street views and fabulous photos available properties.

One aspect that makes Ron's service distinctive is being able to share his extensive knowledge based on his rental property experience with his clients. "The issues I face with my rental properties are similar to those of most homeowners and prospective buyers. This gives me a valuable insight and knowledge, which enhances the service I provide for my clients.

"I'm able to advise my clients on the ups and downs of the property, what type of repairs they would be looking at and the costs involved, and I pull a history of the home so that gives them a true picture of the resale value," he says. Sharing that knowledge and experience helps his clients decide if the home's asking price is worth it when making an offer and is especially useful when there are multiple bids on a home (his last three buyer sales were multiple bids and his clients came out on top).
